NOTICE INVITING APPLICATION FOR APPOINTMENT OF COACHES

Sports Authority of India invites applications from Coaches for appointment on purely contract basis for an initial period of one year separately for the two zones, one for the SAI North Eastern Centres, Imphal & Guwahati (Covering States Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Sikkim) and others for the Rest of the Country.

The coaches recruited for the SAI, North Eastern Centres would be posted within the North Eastern Region only and the coaches recruited for rest of the country are liable to serve in any of the office of SAI across the country except for the North Eastern Region. No request for transfer to any particular place during the contract period would be entertained. The discretion to post the selected Coach and subsequent transfer will solely rest with the Competent Authority. The approximate nos. of vacancies in each discipline are as follows for North Eastern Region and Rest of the Country respectively.

The appointment of coaches appointed on contract basis will not confer on them any right of absorption or appointment on regular basis in SAI.

Age: Maximum 30 years as on 15.3.2010 (Last date of receipt of application). Relaxation in age would be admissible as per rules of Govt. of India.

Salary: Consolidated salary of Rs.15,660/- per month.

Essential Qualification: - Diploma in Coaching from SAI NS-NIS Patiala or from any other recognized Indian/ Foreign University OR
Participation in Olympics/Asian Games/World Championship in the discipline concerned with a Certificate Course in Coaching.
Desirable Qualification: B. P. Ed.

NB: (1) Those who are serving in the State Govt./ Central Govt. or other organizations are required to send their
application through proper channel.
(2) Attested photocopies of all diplomas, certificates, sports achievements, educational qualification, age
proof, SC/ST/OBC certificates should be attached.

The application form duly filled in the prescribed format along with testimonials may be sent to Director (Coaching & Personnel), SAI, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Complex (East Gate), Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003, duly indicating on the envelope that the application is for SAI North Eastern Centres or for Rest of the Country, as the case may be. The candidates applying for the North Eastern Centres/ Rest of the Country would be considered only for that zone only.

Fee – A bank draft for Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) payable to Secretary, Sports Authority of India, New Delhi may be enclosed by non SC/ST applicants.

After short listing of the applications, the eligible short-listed candidates would be called for interview at SAI Head Office, New Delhi /Guwahati, as the case may be.

Sports Authority of India reserves the right to reject any application or cancel the entire recruitment process without assigning any reason thereof.

The last date for receipt of applications by Director (Coaching & Personnel) SAI Head Office is 15.3.2010.

Applications received after due date/through fax/e-mail or without supporting documents/bank draft for the said amount by non SC/ST applicants are liable to be summarily rejected.

Subject: Implementation of the Recommendations of the Visual Sub-Committee.



6. Periodical re-examination of serving Railway Employees:



6.l. In order to ensure the continued ability of Railway employees in Classes A l, A 2, A 3, B l and B 2 to discharge their duties with safety, they will be required to appear for re-examination at the following stated intervals throughout their service as indicated below:



6.1.1. Classes A l, A 2 and A 3 —At the termination of every period of three years, calculated from the date of appointment until they attain the age of 45 years, and thereafter annually until the conclusion of their service.



Note: (l) The staff in categories A l, A 2 and A 3 should be sent for special medical examination in the interest of safety under the following circumstances unless they have been under the treatment of a Railway Medical Officer.



(a) Having undergone any treatment or operation for eye trouble irrespective of the duration of sickness.



(b) Absence from duty for a period in excess of 90 days.



(2) If any employee in medical category A has been periodically medically examined at any time within one year prior to his attaining the age of 45, his next medical examination should be held one year from the due date of the last medical examination and subsequent medical examination annually thereafter.



If, however, such an employee has been medically examined, at any time earlier, than one year prior to his attaining the age of 45, his next medical examination should be held on the date he attains the age of 45 and subsequent medical examination annually thereafter.




Ammendment: It was ammended in 1993 as below

Details:-
As per Rly Bd's Guideline of Medical Exam issued vide LNo. 88/H/5/12 dated 24-01-1993

a) PME would be done at the termination of every period of 4 years from date of appointment / Initial medical Exam till the date of attainment of age of 45 years, every 2 years upto 55 years & there after annual till retirement.
b) Employees who has been periodically examined at any time within 2years prior to his attaining the age of 45years would be examined after 2years from the date of last PME & subsequent PME for every 2years upto 55years age.Of
